Tottenham Make Opening Bid for Victor Osimhen

Tottenham Hotspur have made an opening verbal approach for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen.
According to reports from CaughtOffside and PUNCH Sports Extra, the North London club are offering between £50 million and £55 million for the Super Eagles forward. However, the Turkish champions are holding out for a fee closer to £65 million before considering any sale.
However, Osimhen is reportedly open to a move to Tottenham and is showing interest in manager Roberto De Zerbi’s project at the club. Personal terms are not expected to become a major obstacle should the two clubs agree on a transfer fee.
Spurs are looking to add more firepower to their attack this summer, particularly amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Richarlison. The club have already spent heavily in the current window and view Osimhen as a key addition.
Galatasaray remain reluctant to sell their star player below their valuation after completing his permanent transfer from Napoli earlier this year. Other European clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, continue to monitor the Nigerian striker.
Negotiations remain at an early stage, but Tottenham are understood to have received internal approval to continue talks as they look to strengthen their forward line before the transfer window closes.
