Ajibade, Oshoala & Nnadozie Lead Super Falcons Squad for Senegal Friendlies

Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has unveiled a 23-player squad for the upcoming double-header international friendlies against Senegal.

The squad is headlined by key veterans and experienced campaigners including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, star striker Asisat Oshoala, and established goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie. Madugu has also recalled midfielder Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, who brings leadership and experience to the engine room.

Notable inclusions are Belarus-based forward Blessing Nkor and Turkey-based midfielder Kafayat Shittu, who have earned their first call-ups in recent times. The squad also features in-form players such as Rinsola Babajide, Shukurat Oladipo, Toni Payne, Jennifer Echegini, Halimatu Ayinde, Francisca Ordega, Gift Monday, and home-based talents like defender Sikiratu Isah and goalkeeper Anderline Mgbechi.

The Super Falcons will host the Lionesses of Teranga in a two-match friendly series at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne, Ogun State, on June 5 and June 8, 2026. These fixtures are designed to sharpen the team’s readiness as they gear up for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

Nigeria, the 10-time African champions, have been drawn in Group C alongside Egypt, Zambia, and debutants Malawi. The friendlies against Senegal offer Madugu the perfect opportunity to assess squad depth and cohesion ahead of the continental tournament, which also doubles as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Instead, you’re rearranging your playlist to create the “perfect” study vibe, finally replying to that group chat message from last week, or falling down an unexpected rabbit hole about why ancient Roman aqueducts were such a brilliant engineering feat. For many university students, this cycle is all too familiar , an endless tug-of-war between looming deadlines and the irresistible distractions of the digital world. You're not lazy. You're human. Procrastination isn't a willpower deficit or a time-management glitch, it's an emotional rescue mission gone sideways. Modern psychology, led by researchers like Timothy Pychyl and Fuschia Sirois, frames it clearly: procrastinati...
