Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and his family were all smiles as they celebrated Omonia Nicosia’s 2025/26 Cypriot First Division title triumph on the pitch.
Uzoho kept a clean sheet in the decisive final match as Omonia defeated Aris Limassol 3-0 on Saturday, May 2, 2026, to clinch the championship and end a five-year title drought. This victory marked Omonia’s record 22nd league title.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who joined the club permanently in 2021, made five league appearances this season, keeping three clean sheets during the campaign. He was pictured celebrating joyfully with his wife and young sons on the field immediately after the final whistle.
This is Uzoho’s first league title with Omonia, capping a successful season in which he played a key role in the club’s title-winning run.
The victory has been widely celebrated by Omonia fans, who praised Uzoho’s contributions between the posts. Many Nigerian supporters have also sent congratulations, with some already saying “Super Eagles next.”
