Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The partnership was signed at the SGH campus in Warsaw.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya, signed the agreement while SGH Rector, Professor Piotr Wachowiak, signed for the Polish institution. The LASUSTECH delegation, which included Professor Olumuyiwa Olamade, Dean of the College of Applied Social Sciences, and Dr Ayo Eso of the Department of Economics, visited SGH from May 11 to 14, to finalise implementation plans.
The partnership grants LASUSTECH access to SGH’s prestigious Triple Crown accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS) standards and global networks. It will facilitate student and faculty exchanges with credit transfer and opportunities for European research funding including Horizon Europe and NAWA programmes.
Speaking on the development, Professor Olumuyiwa described the MOU as a step in strengthening LASUSTECH’s global academic presence. The collaboration fully aligns with the Vice-Chancellor’s IMPACT model and the Lagos State Government’s THEME+ agenda, aimed at enhancing curriculum quality, student mobility, and research excellence.
Founded in 1906, SGH Warsaw School of Economics educates over 10,000 students annually and is one of Poland’s top institutions. This partnership positions LASUSTECH among globally and opens new doors for its students and faculty to engage in world-class activities.
