Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and the entire Galatasaray squad at the Presidential Complex in Ankara to celebrate their 2025/26 Süper Lig title victory.
The players, dressed in formal suits, were warmly received by the President as Galatasaray celebrated their 26th league championship, finishing three points ahead of rivals Fenerbahçe.
Osimhen played a major role in the title success, scoring 15 league goals and providing 5 assists in 22 appearances, despite missing several games through injury. He also contributed 7 goals in the UEFA Champions League before the team’s elimination by Liverpool.
During the visit, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek presented President Erdoğan with a personalised club jersey.
The triumph marked Galatasaray’s fourth consecutive league title. If they win the Süper Lig again next season, they will become the first club in Turkish football history to win five titles in a row.
Osimhen continues to attract interest from top European clubs, including Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but Galatasaray remain determined to keep the Nigerian striker.
