Stakeholders in Ibadan have rejected claims made by former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, over issues concerning the Olubadan, describing the allegation as false and politically motivated.
One of the stakeholders, Bisi Olopoeyan, urged South-West leaders to call Fayose to order, warning that such statements could create tension in the region. He said there was no truth in the claim and asked residents of Ibadan and the Yoruba people to ignore it.
Also reacting, the media aide to the Olubadan, Adeola Oloko, said there is no crisis between Governor Seyi Makinde and the Olubadan. He described Fayose’s statement as unfounded and insisted that there is no disagreement that could lead to any conflict.
