The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has recorded outstanding success in the 2025 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, stated “I am pleased to inform the University community of the outcomes of the year 2025 accreditation of undergraduate programmes.” He revealed that the university obtained full accreditation for 13 out of the 14 programmes presented, with only one programme receiving interim accreditation.
The results showed full accreditation for Industrial Mathematics, Insurance, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Urban and Regional Planning, Food Science and Bio-Technology, Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. Electrical and Electronics Engineering received interim accreditation, while Architecture also secured full accreditation from the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
Professor Odusanya noted with pride that since its establishment, LASUSTECH has presented 39 programmes for accreditation and achieved success in all of them without recording any failure. He expressed deep appreciation to all staff and students for their dedication and hard work.
The Vice-Chancellor urged the university community to build on this achievement and sustain the culture of excellence as they prepare for the 2026 accreditation exercise.
