The partnership meeting was held on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, at Huawei Technologies’ office in Victoria Island, Lagos. Senior officials from both organisations and consultants from RENBAM Telecommunication Company discussed various advanced digital solutions, including an emergency command centre, perimeter protection, campus security, interactive classroom solutions, alternative power supply, and improved funding mechanisms.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya, who led the LASUSTECH delegation, emphasised the university’s commitment to technological advancement. “We are intentionally positioning LASUSTECH as a forward-thinking institution where innovation and digital excellence drive teaching, research, and administration,” he said.
The deployment of Huawei’s iMaster NCE is expected to significantly enhance the university’s network infrastructure, academic delivery, and operational efficiency. Other proposed solutions will also strengthen campus security and create interactive learning environments.
