The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will hold at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) Convocation Ground from Tuesday, 7th April to Sunday, 12th April 2026.
The six-day exercise will offer eligible citizens the chance to confirm their existing voter registration details, transfer their registration to a new polling unit, complete fresh registration, or replace lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). INEC officials will be stationed at the venue throughout the period to provide on-the-spot assistance and ensure the process runs smoothly for all participants.
University authorities have strongly urged students, staff, and residents of Ikorodu and its surrounding communities to take advantage of the convenient location. They advised participants to arrive early to avoid last-minute congestion and to come along with valid identification documents such as National ID, driver’s licence, or international passport to facilitate quick processing.
The decision to host the CVR at LASUSTECH reflects the institution’s strong commitment to promoting civic engagement and national development. The venue is expected to make voter registration easily accessible to thousands of young people and community members who might otherwise find it difficult to visit distant INEC offices.
This initiative comes as INEC continues its nationwide drive to update the voter register ahead of future elections, giving the university community and Ikorodu residents a rare opportunity to fulfil their democratic responsibilities right on campus.
