Nentawe Yilwatda and Ajibola Basiru have emerged as the National Chairman and National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
They were elected during the party’s national convention held on Friday at Eagle Square in Abuja, where both candidates were returned unopposed through a consensus arrangement.
The decision followed the party’s earlier move to maintain its zoning formula for positions in the National Working Committee (NWC). The convention, themed “Unity in Progress: Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” was attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, among other party leaders.
Party officials said thousands of delegates took part in the convention, which was organised by a committee led by Aminu Masari and Anyim Pius Anyim.
