Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Rashidi Ladoja supports over 5,000 Ibadan residents with cash and food items as a relief for Ramadan and Lent period.
The Olubadan, represented by Olori Rashidat Ladoja, expressed his commitment to giving for the past 20 years, the purpose being to give back to the society.
"Last year, we distributed to about 5,000 people. This year, they are more than 5,000. We thank God that we are doing well, there is no casualties, there is no fights.
"Baba Ladoja has been doing this for the past 20 years, but this is the first time we are doing this since Oba Ladoja ascended the throne as the Olubadan of Ibadanland. So, it’s not different from what we have been doing before. It’s only that the beneficiaries are plenty this year", she said.
The Ramadan and Lent period asides being a fasting period, it is a season for sharing of love and giving gifts to those in need and also remaining steadfast on the righteous path of God.
