NCAA Grants Binani Air Approval to Begin Commercial Flights

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted Binani Air Global Services permission to commence scheduled commercial flight operations in Nigeria.The approval followed the issuance of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC), confirming that the airline has met all regulatory, safety, and operational requirements necessary for commercial aviation services.

Speaking during the presentation of the certificate in Abuja, NCAA Director-General, Capt. Chris Najomo, described the development as a significant milestone for Nigeria’s aviation sector. He noted that Binani Air’s emergence is particularly notable as it is a female-led airline entering a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Najomo, however, cautioned that obtaining the AOC marks only the beginning of a more demanding phase, urging the airline to maintain strict adherence to safety standards, professionalism, and proper operational planning.

Binani Air is owned by Aishatu Dahiru Binani, who expressed appreciation to the NCAA for its guidance throughout the certification process. She described the journey as challenging but rewarding, while reaffirming the airline’s commitment to delivering safe and reliable services.

LASUSTECH, LIRS partners to Boost Tax Literacy Among Staff
