The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) Ikorodu has launched a free four-week digital skills training programme, titled "dLIT 1.0," for artisans and small business owners in the Lambo Lasuwon community.
This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its relationship with its host community. By providing these skills for free, the institution aims to support local traders and ensure that its neighbors grow alongside the university.
The programme, organized by the Department of Digital Learning and Instructional Technology, aims to help local traders use modern tools to grow their businesses.
According to the university, the training will focus on practical digital marketing and how to attract more customers using smartphones. The sessions are scheduled to hold for four Saturdays, from April 11th to May 2nd, 2026, at the LASUSTECH Tech Lab, Ikorodu Campus.
The school management stated that the training is "absolutely free," but it is strictly for residents of the Lambo Lasuwon community who already own an existing business or trade. This outreach highlights the university's commitment to giving back to its immediate environment.
Interested applicants are required to fill out an online form or scan the official QR code on the department’s flyers. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
