The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has advised Higher National Diploma graduates to seek proper redress from their individual universities over the delay in National Youth Service Corps mobilization.
In a statement made by the JAMB registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, he explained that JAMB is only responsible for conducting examinations , admitting students into foist degree, National Diploma and Nigerian Certificate in Education programmes. All these activities doesn't include HND programmes .
“The Board is not responsible for admitting HND students into polytechnics and, therefore, has no data to facilitate their entry into the NYSC scheme,” he explained.
He advised that the HND graduates channel their grievances to their universities because responsibility is shifted to them as soon as ND graduates seek HND admission.
In his words, there will be no problem if institutions follow the proper process. JAMB will continue to render quality services to all stakeholders.
