The Super Falcons will play a double-header international friendly against Senegal Women’s National Team during the June FIFA international window.
Both matches will be played at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, on Friday, June 5 and Monday, June 8, 2026.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) organised the fixtures as crucial preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where Nigeria will be aiming for an 11th continental title. The double-header comes after the proposed friendly against Jamaica was cancelled due to logistical and scheduling issues.
The announcement was made via the Super Falcons Show on X, stating: “Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, will take on Senegal Women’s National Team in a double-header international friendly scheduled for June 5 and 8.”
Justine Madugu’s team were last in action in March, where they defeated Cameroon 3-1 in a friendly. The Super Falcons have been drawn in Group C for WAFCON 2026 alongside Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt.
These matches against Senegal will provide valuable competitive minutes as the team builds momentum ahead of the continental showpiece in July.
