Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, have been drawn into Group F for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
The Falconets will face strong European side Spain, Asian representatives China PR, and debutants New Caledonia in the group stage of the tournament, which runs from September 5 to 27, 2026.
The draw was conducted at the EC1 Cultural Centre in Poland, with Falconets head coach Moses Aduku in attendance. Nigeria’s opening match is expected to be against Spain on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Sosnowiec.
Spain are considered one of the strongest teams in the group due to their excellent youth development system, while China PR bring experience from Asian competitions. New Caledonia will be making their first-ever appearance at the tournament.
The Falconets remain one of Africa’s most consistent performers at this level, having reached the final in both 2010 and 2014. They will be aiming to go one step further in Poland and win the trophy for the first time.
A total of 24 teams were drawn into six groups, with matches to be played across four host cities: Łódź, Katowice, Sosnowiec, and Bielsko-Biała.
