JAMB Activates Portal for 2026 UTME Slip Reprinting

By Irikefe Oghenetega Victor

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has activated the portal for the reprinting of 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) slips. Candidates can now print their examination slips starting today, Thursday, April 9, 2026, ahead of the main UTME scheduled to hold from Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 25, 2026.

The UTME slip is a compulsory document that contains each candidate’s specific examination date, time, and venue. Without it, no candidate will be allowed into any Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre. JAMB advises all registered candidates to reprint their slips immediately to avoid last-minute issues.

According to multiple reports citing JAMB’s official communication, candidates are to visit the dedicated slip printing portal at https://slipsprinting.jamb.gov.ng/PrintExaminationSlip or the main JAMB website (www.jamb.gov.ng), log in with their registration number, and generate the slip. The announcement has been widely shared across news platforms, educational forums, and social media groups following JAMB’s earlier guidance on the process.

Over two million candidates are expected to sit for the 2026 UTME across various CBT centres nationwide. JAMB has urged candidates to print their slips early, double-check their assigned date, time, and venue, and prepare adequately for the examination.

This development comes shortly after JAMB released the 2026 Mock UTME results and mock slips, allowing candidates to use the mock experience to fine-tune their preparation for the main examination. Candidates are encouraged to visit only the official JAMB portals to avoid fraudsters.

The Tomorrow trap: why we procrastinate and how to break free

By Irikefe Oghenetega Victor It’s 11 p.m. in Lagos, and that major project due at 9 a.m.  is staring back at you from your laptop screen. Yet somehow, the work hasn’t started. Instead, you’re rearranging your playlist to create the “perfect” study vibe, finally replying to that group chat message from last week, or falling down an unexpected rabbit hole about why ancient Roman aqueducts were such a brilliant engineering feat. The minutes slip by. The clock seems to tick louder. A quiet sense of guilt begins to creep in, but the scrolling continues. For many university students, this cycle is all too familiar , an endless tug-of-war between looming deadlines and the irresistible distractions of the digital world. You're not lazy. You're human. Procrastination isn't a willpower deficit or a time-management glitch, it's an emotional rescue mission gone sideways. Modern psychology, led by researchers like Timothy Pychyl and Fuschia Sirois, frames it clearly: procrastinati...
